Landscape texture painting is misaligned

In vanilla, the areas of the ground with cobblestone or moss are clearly defined. There's no "dusty cobble" upwards from the rock in the middle. In OpenMW, the moss is pushed back a lot further towards the river, and the "dusty cobble" enroaches upwards past the rock towards the city's gates. In vanilla, the cobblestone goes right up to the rocks to the right side. In OpenMW, there's moss in front of the rocks. Basically, the road is defined much worse in OpenMW because the textures all blur together.
This is basically because OpenMW uses some kind of terrain splattering (?) thing to fix texture seams between different regions, but maybe it should be restricted to only happen in places where it smooths out such seams, or should be disabled by default, since the effect it has on the game's art is noticeable if you look closely, and might be more apparent if the game had better quality terrain textures/blending.
