OpenMW-CS: it's not possible to create an omwaddon containing a dot in the file name
It's not possible anymore to create a file named like this:
mod_by_asmo_v1.0_based_on_mod_abc_v1.5_by_somebody.omwaddon
while
mod_started_month_ago_v0.01.omwaddon
can still be used/edited in the OpenMW-CS.
I'd like to give my mods version numbers so people can see instantly what version it is. "Workarounds" like my_mod_1dot4.omwaddon is not easily readable and hence no option. This applies to my_mod_010.omwaddon as well - that could be version 0.1 or version 1.0 or version 10.
Mods named like .+..+.esp exist - e.g. combined_money_mod_v1.12_by_lucifer.666 and advanced_herbalism_extended_v0.1_TR+BM 7z list | grep esp 2007-04-05 18:17:05 ....A 639503 Data Files/advanced_herbalism_extended_v0.1_TR+BM.esp 2007-04-13 00:29:59 ....A 7593 combined_money_mod_v1.12_by_lucifer.666/Data Files/combined_money_mod_v1.12.esp
OpenMW is kind of incompatible here - at least from the CS-side. Can you please rebuild the permissive behaviour?
