Main menu and console should always be accessible when playing
You can create scripts which get you in a loop that can only be ended by killing the program (on the OS level), like this (very +simple+) example:
Begin sleep_test ShowRestMenu End sleep_testopen console > type "startscript sleep_test" > try escape or the console key
It would be nice if the game would devote cycles/frames to periodically and exclusively check the keyboard input queue; at least for the open-console-key and the main-menu-key (ESC).
