Water ripple vfx
Moving around in bodies of water will correctly produce a trail of ripples, but the visual effect itself is simpler than in vanilla Morrowind, which used a more visually impressive solution. This effect so far has not been recreated for OpenMW.

I think there is a some kind of vertex deformation instead of (or in addition to) using a texture (how it works in OpenMW).
Also additional difference: Morrowind issues ripples when an actor turns around, but OpenMW not.

The current ripples also z-fight each other and flicker sometimes as they're only transparent particles with the same Z-position. I'm not making it a separate issue as the VFX should be completely reworked as a part of this feature, but I thought I should add this observation here.
