Description

Moving around in bodies of water will correctly produce a trail of ripples, but the visual effect itself is simpler than in vanilla Morrowind, which used a more visually impressive solution. This effect so far has not been recreated for OpenMW.

The visual effect comes from non-pixel shader water.

Is the effect equally doable with OpenMW's current implementation of water?

I think there is a some kind of vertex deformation instead of (or in addition to) using a texture (how it works in OpenMW).

Also additional difference: Morrowind issues ripples when an actor turns around, but OpenMW not.
