NPC positioning issue on reloaded cells
Over time, NPCs will "drift" from their original positions, presumably as their cells are continuously unloaded and reloaded as a result of normal play. This includes stationary NPCs, which in some circumstances will obstruct the player's path if they are positioned in small chambers and hallways, making it very difficult to get around. Other NPCs might find themselves dropping off a ledge they were supposed to be standing on, leaving them on the ground below for the rest of the game. I do not believe this issue exists in vanilla Morrowind. Some examples:
019-This man is usually standing near the doorway to the right. He has migrated a surprising distance since the beginning of this save file. 023-This Guild Guide is supposed to be against the wall to the left. She is now obstructing the path off the dais, leaving the player stuck. 024-This man runs the silt strider service in Balmora. He gradually inched toward the edge until he fell off and is now stuck on the ground.
