Description

There is the great feature of having/using more than one DataFolder at the same time in OpenMW.
It would be nice if DFs could be handled (add/remove/activate/deactivate) with the launcher as it is done with the esp files.
Add/remove/activate/deactivate of BSA files could be done in the launcher too.

Won't this conflict with the ini file? Doesn't the ini file influence certain mods?

A feature like this would be cool, but it has to be in combination with loading saved games I think. Unless the user is totally obligated to manage which saved game go with witch data folder.

I guess you mean ~/.config/opemw/openmw.cfg. Actually the launcher edits this file and \(de-\)activates some mods only.
There are mods that have no .esp/.omwaddon-file but replace textures/models/... I'd like to turn off those mods with the launcher as I can do with those that have .esp/.omwaddon file(s).

I see, you want to notify the user that a datafolder is missing - that was in use when saving the game - as it's done with mods that have an .omwaddon file. Well, in that case you could "just" extend the "these mods was active"-part of the savegame by a list of datafolders.

As far as I remember Zini was against this, because he planned to phase out the data-folders way of managing mods in favor of a system that associates content files with their data.
