[exploit/bug] disintegrate weapon incorrectly applying to lockpicks, probes. creates unbreakable lockpicks
In my Alfiq mod, I made it so that the Alfiq race cannot hold weapons, via a constant ability of 'disintegrate weapon on self 9999 pts' //(the magnitude is so high due to the framerate issue surrounding disintegrate spells -- this is the only sure-fire way to make it take effect no matter where the player is at if v-sync is disabled).
I tried to equip a lockpick, and nothing happened. so i tried again, only to notice the lockpick said it had 0 uses left. I equipped it, and tried to lockpick the small chest in the census office in seyda neen. the lockpick worked, and still claimed to have 0 uses left.
steps to produce:
- disintegrate your weapon with high enough magnitude to match your framerate (magnitude dependent on hardware and settings), either as a spell or enchantment.
- equip a lockpick, or a probe
- notice when it unequips, try to re-equip it, and lockpick something.
the lockpick will 'break' but still go back into the player's inventory.
