Haven't seen that one before. Looks more like a Qt bug. Can anyone reproduce?

Confirmed on Linux as well. I think it only happens when the window is maximized, and when subviews are made smaller than their minimum width allows: http://scrawl.bplaced.net/perm/screenshot_18-19-42.png

One thing I noticed is that when I alt-tab out of the window and then back in, the subviews "stretch" and render properly again (side effect is that the window becomes larger than the monitor, which caused my screenshot tool to replace the off-screen portion with blackness): http://scrawl.bplaced.net/perm/screenshot_18-20-10.png

The problem seems with Grow Only option (Edit -> Preferences -> Window). When it's enabled, the editor window grows with every new subview has been opened. But in the fullscreen mode the window can't grow, so the subviews start to overlap each other. Sometimes it happens in the window mode, when you leave the fullscreen mode.

I see two possible solutions:
  1. Completely remove Grow Only mode.
  2. If Grow Only mode is enabled and window can't be resized, temporary change the mode to ScrollBar Only. When the window can be resized, change the mode back to Grow Only mode.

But the second solution is similar to Grow then Scroll option.
