Crash Upon Loading New Cell
Upon entering a new exterior or interior cell, the game occasionally crashes. The crash can happen going from either type cell to either type cell. The error listed at the top of crash.log is always the following: *** Fatal Error *** Address not mapped to object (signal 11) Address: (nil)
The attached crashO1.log is for the bug occurring on my system, Ubuntu 14.04 with a GeForce GTX 660 Ti GPU. This bug generally crashes the game about once every 30 minutes.
The same bug happens on my wife's computer, which is a twin to my own but with a GeForce GTX 660 GPU. On her system, however, after the first crash occurs, loading any save file causes the game to crash instantly. Starting a new game and then loading one of her saves is successful, but the next cell loaded causes a crash. The attached crashH1.log is a report of one such instant crash on loading to an interior cell.
Purging and re-installing openmw-data from the daily build github page allows saves to be loaded, but crashes continue to occur and once they do, the pattern persists. The attached crashH2.log is from crashing upon loading a save in an exterior cell about 20 minutes after purging and installing openmw-data and openmw-launcher from the daily builds.
This bug may be related to #1554 (closed).
