Behaviour of NPCs facing the player
I've noticed 3 ways the "Hello" behaviour, when a NPC faces the player, differs from vanilla:
-
NPCs who stand still never stop facing you while you're within their radius - this can be uncanny when several NPCs are grouped together. In vanilla they only turn towards you for a few seconds, then stop for a while (until you exit and re-enter the radius or they've moved?)
-
NPCs immediately face you when you enter their radius. In vanilla there is a ~1 second delay, which is more relevant to the next point:
-
NPCs do not stop to face you while walking. In vanilla "Hello" momentarily interrupts AiWander movements (or even AiTravel, if their Hello is not set to 0 - the normal trajectory is resumed afterwards)
